Project 1 - Stop Diabetes
Under this programme, training is imparted to doctors, health care workers, teachers, school children and volunteers. Identification of high risk population is done for screening of diabetes by specially trained team of workers. The whole population is given life style modification advice. People who are diagnosed as diabetic are screened for complications. We have reach more than 20 million people through awareness, education and detection campaigns through use of various medias such as TV, radio, newspaper, pamphlets, posters, banners etc. We also distribute diabetes awareness booklets free of cost to people attending screening camps. Under the program, in last 3 years, we have trained 1458 doctors and 4792 paramedical workers.
